The Man in the Trees

The Story

Hi Jason,
Below you will find a photo I call The Man in the Trees. It was taken
while holding my breath in November of 2008 during my 2-year long
Project Proof stint in which I took as many photos in and around a
house I lived in where I experienced a lot of paranormal activity as
well as in other places. I have the original saved to the camera card
and can prove it has not been tampered with, yet no one believes it's
a genuine photo. I hope you'll take it seriously. More to follow
(Project Proof produced about 1000 paranormal photos to varying
degrees).

Thanks,

Kate

Analysis

I will be perfectly honest here: The first second that I looked at this picture, I thought "Another breath picture" and almost closed it until I saw the remarkable image that Kate is referring to.  To me, it looks as though a hooded figure -- possibly a monk -- is looking right at the camera.

Am I ready to say that this is a genuine paranormal capture?  No, but I will admit that this is one of the more chilling and surprising pictures I have been sent in a very long time assuming, of course, that there is no Photoshop manipulation to it and, if there is, I would like to shake the hand of the master who did it.

In the close-up that I created and enhanced to the right, the photo becomes even more remarkable as the figure not only appears to have a complete body, but also a nose, eyes, and mouth.

I will allow that this could be on account of matrixing, but the detail of the man in the trees is just incredible.  I'm not perfect and I'm not a complete expert, but this photo required and begs for more study.  I will be waiting for more of Kate's photos with a giddy anticipation.

Conclusion

It's a distinct possibility that this could be a ghost, but then again it could just be a very cool breath formation as well.
