Spook in the Mirror

The Story

This was taken many years ago. My brother's old girlfriend was fooling around when we took the photo. In the mirror to her left, you can see a face. Across from this mirror is a wall. We have tried to recreate the photo but found that you would have to be right in front of the mirror to recreate it. What do you think?

Analysis

Mirrors are funky little things and they play tricks not only on the eyes, but on the camera as well.  What may look like a skeletal face from one point of view, could be nothing more than a trick of the light or even just something that is being reflected that happens to look like a skeleton face.  Using a flash camera only compounds this problem.

Unfortunately, with this picture the resolution is so low that any definitive analysis is impossible.  My initial conclusion is that this is not a ghost, but merely distorted reflections - possibly due to the age of the mirror or possibly the angle of whatever is being reflected.

Conclusion

Probably not a ghost, but just a reflection.
