Through the Window
The Story
Kirk Grimoli sent this picture in with the following information:
Right hand side of window appears to be a figure looking towards window

Analysis
A short and sweet story, but sometimes that's how I like it. So, are we looking at a genuine phantom peeping tom here, or yet another trick of the light?
By placing
the image in photoshop and playing with the brightness and contrast, the details
of the perverted ghostie become a but more clear and, I have to say, the effect
is impressive. I'm not one hundred percent certain that this is a ghost
and, as a matter of fact, I'm reasonably certain that it isn't but you have to
admit, that it does look cool.
It's got all of the classic features of the ghost that have been passed down through lore and popular culture: the black robe, the skeletal face -- it looks like death itself, but I believe that what we are looking at is merely the random shadows and limbs of the trees in the background. With the sun shining through the window as it is, it lends credence to a shadow being cast in that direction. It's not hard to see either that the reaper's eyes and facial features are tree branches and leaves.
Conclusion
I will have to side with a more Earthly explanation for this fellow and say that it's shadows and matrixing, but I will concede that it is indeed spooky and that there is a little voice in my mind saying that this might actually be a ghost peeking into this home.
