The Watchers of Suffolk
The Story
Hi Jason,
Firstly well done on the site, which
is really great and intriguing. Some very cool photos, yet also rational
thinking which is good to see.
I have attached a photo of mine which I took in Suffolk, England. There is
something in the bottom right hand corner which looks out of place, especially
in relation to the tree which is next to it. However as the picture quality is
not great, taken at night, with a 4 Megapixel camera, Id like to get your
opinion on it before I explain why I photographed this area. I feel that if you
can debunk the photo straight up, then the events leading up to it must be
coincidence or rationally explainable.
So
if you have viewed the picture and have an initial thought, here is what
happened.
It was taken just beyond the bottom of the garden of a holiday house I was
staying at with my family. Me, my two brothers and two cousins, were walking up
across the field which was on the other side of the fence on the left of the
picture. The picture was taken when we had returned to the garden, as after
stopping at the top of the field after around 50 meters, 3 out of us 5, myself
excluded, said they could see ''people'', back in the direction of which we had
came. I personally could not make out anything in the darkness and fully realize
they may have been mistaken by the night and shadows. However I trusted my
brothers and cousins and was intrigued by the fact that it was a simultaneous
reaction to what they had seen and their adamance. Had it not been this way I
would think it would be the suggestion setting in, from one to the other. The
sighting though was serious and real enough to panic them a lot, the
fact they were ''standing looking at us''.
Of course, these human like figures could have been just that, people on the
field (definitely not members of our family who were all in the house). However
there was no sound from that direction and as we moved down the side of the
field, opposite to the garden, there was little sign of anyone in our torchlight
(I say little as 3 people, not the same 3 interestingly, said they could see
something crouching on the floor, in the middle of the field) , or anyone
reacting at all to the fact that we were shining torches across the field.
(Something I would expect from people who would supposedly be on the field
investigating us).
We headed back across the field and without seeing any sign of anybody, we
walked to the garden. I then took several pictures of the area and this was the
most intriguing. All had many white circles on them which I thought must be
dust, however this picture does not have any dust.
Thanks for reading and I will be interested to see what you think.
Kosta
Analysis

Unfortunately, the image quality of Kosta's picture is very low and makes analyzing it very difficult. I've adjusted the contrast, brightness, and even the color to bring the image to the best peak I can, though, and it does appear to be a human figure.
That's the rub, though... it "appears" to be a human figure.
It appears to have a head, torso, and (perhaps) crossed arms. A look at the head also reveals what might be a face.
Mind you, I said it "might be" a face.
With the low image quality, our brains lend over to matrixing the picture and begins looking for patterns in randomness. This spook might be nothing more than vegetation, it's just too hard to make that distinction.
As for the story, it's a fascinating one. I've had a similar experience with a friend of mine as we walked along an old riverbed when we were children. The hairs on the back of our necks stood up and we had the distinct feeling that, not only were we being watched, but we were being followed as well.
This might have been a wild animal for all we knew and it's a possibility that might have been what Kosta and his family heard as well.
Conclusion
Although I think the picture has possibilities, it would be irresponsible to say that it's a ghost. I will, however, acknowledge that there is a definite creepy vibe to it and leave it at that.
